Saira Banu, a seasoned actor, will always have a particular place in her heart for Janmashtami.

In honor of Janmashtami, Saira Banu uploaded a video of herself singing the song “Kanha” from her film “Shagird.” She clarified in the post that it was a coincidence that she had recorded the song on the same day as the event.

She and the actor Nazir Hussain were filming at Filmistan Studios, Banu recalls. Nazir and Dilip Kumar were simultaneously working on the movie “Ram Aur Shyam” in Chennai.

Due to scheduling issues, Nazir Hussain, a well-known character actor who was crucial to both of their lives, alternated between the two sets. Nazir and she got along great, and he treated her like family.

Saira Banu couldn’t help but let her mischievous side show that Janmashtami night as she performed a bhajan in front of a peaceful statue of Lord Krishna while listening to Lataji’s lovely playback. She requested that a message be sent to Dilip Sahab via Nazir Hussain.

I turned to Nazir Sahab and begged him for a favor as I sung the Bhajan on Janmashtami night in front of a lovely statue of Lord Krishna with Lataji’s enchanting voice playing in the background. You’re employing Dilip Sahab, Oh! You are incredibly fortunate to work with Dilip Sahab. If he doesn’t agree to work with Saira, please let him know that she will ask him to marry her.

The following morning, Nazir Sahab left for Madras and promptly informed the Shahenshah of my impudent message. You could have knocked Dilip Sahab down with a feather, but I’m told he graciously smiled and acknowledged my cheeky message to presumably cover his humiliation nicely.

The next evening, Nazir Sahab joined me on the “SHAGIRD” set to film, and he told me he had made Dilip Sahab aware of my exact request. A Gudiya is madly in love with you, Dilip Sahab!“Can you believe that Dilip Sahab showed up in my life right after we concluded the Janmashtami song, looked me in the eyes, and sought for my mother and grandmother’s approval for our engagement? she questioned.

Saira Banu called this unusual turn of events “nothing short of a miracle,” and admirers of the famous couple are still spellbound by their enduring love tale.
