On September 7, Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated movie Jawan will finally hit theatres. Manobala Vijayabalan, a film industry analyst, provided an update on Jawan’s advance sales in India on Sunday on X, formerly known as Twitter. According to the most recent statistics, more than 5 lakh tickets for Jawan’s opening day have already been sold. Last week, advance booking for the action picture finally became available in India, with seats costing as much as $2,400 in some locations.

Manobala tweeted the data sans block seats after sharing the multiplexes’ figures: “Jawan day 1 advance sales. ZOOMS have sold 5,000,001 tickets in India… Advance reservations for Jawan at national multiplexes… 1,12,299 PVR, 75,661 INOX, and 40,577 Cinepolis. 2,28,538 tickets were sold in all. Gross: 9.01 crore rupees.
He added, “City-wide, all theatres – Delhi NCR – 39,535 (1.91 crore), Mumbai – 39,600 (1.57 crore), Bengaluru – 39,325 (1.42 crore), Hyderabad – 58,898 (1.35 crore), and Kolkata – 40,035 (1.16 crore)” to further break down the figures by different cities. All venues in India sold 5,17,700 tickets, generating a revenue of $14.47 million (excluding blocked seats).

Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, also tweeted about Jawan’s advance booking and early morning performances in many places. “While Jawan is having SOLID advances at national chains, the advance booking status at non-national chain theatres and single screens is PHENOMENAL as well,” he stated. Single screens in Delhi, the Hindi heartland, the UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, and other states are producing EXCEPTIONAL results. So much so that, as a result of the high demand, numerous exhibitors are starting their exhibits at 6 am, even at tier-2 centres.

The box office performance of Jawan is anticipated to be excellent, and Shah Rukh is anticipated to have a second straight global opening of at least $100 million in the same year as his popular spy movie Pathaan.
