After India’s T20 Series loss to the West Indies by a score of 2-3, head coach Rahul Dravid has emphasised the need to increase batting depth.

Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mukesh Kumar played a significant role in India’s performance in the series. Axar Patel, a spin-all-rounder, batted at number seven.

In the series decider, India neglected to advance quickly in the passing overs to wind up with a less than impressive 165/9. West Indies redesignd the objective with two overs in excess.

I thought every one of the three people who made debuts for us in this series, stood up. Yashasvi Jasiwal in the fourth game, I thought he played an excellent innings. He’s shown us what he can do in the IPL and it was good to see him imitate that in worldwide cricket.

So I believe there’s a few genuine great up-sides in the folks who made their presentations for ourselves and ideally they take certainty from the series and continue to advance as they proceed.  We have a couple of players returning from injury in Asia Cup. The emphasis stays on the ODI design in front of the Asia Cup and World Cup at home.

Dravid implied that a couple of the harmed players including Jasprit Bumrah, K.L. Rahul and Shreyas Iyer could highlight in the Asia Cup. Bumrah’s rebound series will be against Ireland starting August 18.

We need to offer them chances to play (in Asia Cup). We have a multi week camp in Bengaluru from August 23 for the Asia Cup.
