Within the third day of its release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is probably going to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. According to early estimates, the romantic comedy movie made Rs. 11.10 crore on its opening day, Rs. 16.05 crore on its first Saturday, and roughly Rs. 19 crore on its first Sunday. With this, the movie’s overall box office earnings have topped Rs 46 crore. According to trade portal Sacnilk, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani achieved a total occupancy of 42.69% in its Hindi shows on Sunday.
According to movie critic and market researcher Sumit Kadel, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had earned $2.7 million worldwide as of Sunday. “RRKPK generates enormous $2.7 million on the global market. On X (formerly known as Twitter), Kadel wrote, “Director Karan Johar once again solidified his status as one of the biggest directors for the foreign audience.
A film industry analyst, added that because the movie is well-liked worldwide, it is anticipated that its box office earnings would continue to rise.
The movie has a 6.6/10 IMDb rating and a 71% Rotten Tomatoes audience score. The film, which is directed by Karan Johar and co-produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, is on a flashy Punjabi man and an intelligent Bengali journalist who fall in love but encounter opposition from their families. The two resolve to spend three months living with each other’s families prior to being married in order to overcome the resistance of their families.
Significant roles are played in the movie by Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Aamir Bashir, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Churni Ganguly. A week after Barbie and Oppenheimer debuted in theatres on July 21, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani followed on July 28.
