Gadar 2, which stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has been receiving media attention ever since it was announced that it would be remade. On Wednesday, the filmmakers released the trailer, in which Sunny Deol was seen reviving Tara Singh’s personification of patriotism.

Jeete, the son of Tara and Sakina (Utkarsh), is depicted in the teaser being tortured by a Pakistani army commander. Tara reassures Sakina, who is anxious, that he will get Jeete back. He travels to Lahore and attacks Pakistani army personnel with a sledgehammer. Since the trailer ends with Tara staring at a hand pump, we’re hoping he’ll make her think of the year 2001.
