A big year for movie buffs will be 2023. The biggest filmmakers and actresses in the nation will join forces this year. These films are destined to be box office successes due to their all-Indian casts.
Some of these forthcoming films recently changed their release dates for a variety of reasons. Here is a list of significant Bollywood films that have been delayed, along with an explanation of each.
1. Jawaan
After his box office smash Pathaan, Shah Rukh’s fans can’t wait to see their favourite actor back on television. The release date of the actor’s subsequent movie, Jawaan, which is being directed by Atlee, has been pushed back to June 2 because of the movie’s VFX and post-production work. The 7th of September has been established as the official release date for this SRK, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi film.
2. Animal
One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year is Animal. Originally slated for release on August 11, the movie’s producers have chosen to push back the date to December 1 in order to compete with Excel Entertainment’s Fukrey 3 and Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. It was discovered that the only factor contributing to the delay was the length of time required for production and quality. The movie will have seven songs in five different languages, according to the creators. Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol all play major roles in the movie.
3. Yodha
Yodha, a film by Sidharth Malhotra, will now debut on December 15 instead of September 15. The movie’s producers chose to postpone the opening in order to avoid competing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan, which will debut on September 7.
4. Metro In Dino
The anthology film from Anurag Basu is keenly anticipated by the audience. Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Konkana Sen Sharma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh are among the film’s captivating ensemble cast. Originally set for release on December 8, 2023, the movie will now debut on March 29 of the following year in order to coincide with Good Friday.
5. Maidaan
This Ajay Devgn-starring film is based on a genuine account from the 1952–1962 Indian Football Golden Age. The film’s release date has been moved about a lot since it was originally scheduled for November 27, 2020. The precise publication date is still a mystery.
