The Brother Of One Of Pop Smoke's Killers Was Discovered Dead In a Barrel In Malibu - WhatsOnRap

Law enforcement is currently delving into a possible connection between the tragic demise of a promising young rapper and the recent discovery of a body at a picturesque California beach. Last week, the lifeless body of Javonnta Murphy, a 32-year-old aspiring artist, was found inside a 55-gallon barrel at Malibu Lagoon State Beach

The circumstances surrounding his death are deeply distressing, as he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was inexplicably stripped of his clothing before being placed inside the container and discarded into the water.

The initial discovery of the barrel occurred when a beach maintenance employee spotted it floating near the Pacific Coast Highway bridge. Regrettably, the employee was unable to bring the heavy barrel ashore, necessitating the assistance of a brave lifeguard who, upon reaching it, made the gruesome revelation. Subsequently, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner ruled Javonnta's untimely passing as a homicide, intensifying the urgency of the investigation.

Recently, on August 6th, TMZ broke the news that there might be a potential link between Javonnta's death and the tragic loss of another rising star, Pop Smoke. What adds to the intrigue is the revelation that Javonnta is the brother of Jaquan Murphy, who was among the initial suspects in the case of the sh**ting death of the talented "Welcome To The Party" artist.

Pop Smoke's own life was tragically cut short at the young age of 20 when he was shot three times during a home invasion at his rented residence in the Hollywood Hills back in February 2020. The subsequent investigation led to the arrests of Corey Walker, 19, Keandre Rodgers, 18, and two juveniles, aged 15 and 17 at the time. Jaquan, aged 21, was also in custody at the county jail on an unrelated attempted murder charge.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, one of the younger juveniles confessed to the sh**ting and robbery of the talented New York lyricist. Now 18 years old, the young individual has been charged with first-degree murder for the fatal incident and is expected to remain incarcerated until the age of 25, according to reports from the Los Angeles Times. The other teenager, the first to admit his role in the crime, received a four-year sentence in a juvenile treatment facility back in April.
