A social media activist named Very Dark Man has at long last spoken out in response to the widely circulated claims that Davido physically attacked a businessman in Abuja while using his security.
It was earlier reported that Nigerian photographer and businessman Abu Salami publicly reprimanded the musician for breaking a million-dollar contract.
The businessman said that in order to influence a youth football project that he did not attend, he had paid the singer N218 million.
To make matters worse, Davido threatened to bring him goons and wouldn't give him his money back.
He shared a disturbing video of himself getting beaten up by individuals who he said the singer provided.
Very Dark Man, a close friend of Davido, responded to the video by claiming that it has resulted in threats from online users.
When he saw Davido, he admitted that the men in the video were his bodyguards, and he had fun with them.
He does not, however, believe the rumored allegation that the guards brutalized a man because there is no proof to back it up.
VDM observed that people like spreading unfavorable information about artists, and that competition and jealousy are rampant in the entertainment business, particularly in Lagos.
VDMan continued by asserting that politicians continue to take advantage of Nigerians because we don't ask the right questions and that we haven't learnt from Mohbad's passing.
“I know you all have seen the video claiming Davido and his guards killed a person. A lot of people have tagged me in this video, threatening me to speak out. Those boys in the video are definitely Davido’s bodyguards because we chilled together.
If bad news about Davido comes out, people will be fueling it. People in the music industry especially the Entertainment industry in Lagos don’t like themselves. It is filled with jealousy and envy. In general, the entertainment industry in Lagos is toxic.
If I see any news about Wizkid, Burna Boy, I will look for evidence before speaking on it.
I had vowed any to speak on Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy because they have a community, and no matter the truth you speak, they wouldn’t listen to you. Sentiments have entered them in the name of Fanbase and support.
