Egypt's President Sisi Proposes Negev Desert as Temporary Shelter for Gaza Affected Palestinians.


President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt has suggested relocating Palestinians affected by Israel's Gaza operations to the Negev Desert instead of hosting them in Egypt. Read full article 

During a media address with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Sisi proposed using the Negev desert in Israel as a temporary relocation site until Israel resolves the situation in Gaza. 

He emphasized Cairo's opposition to hosting Palestinians in the Sinai Peninsula, citing concerns about prolonged military operations and potential terrorist activities against Israel if they were transferred to Egypt. 

Sisi also criticized Israel's blockade of Gaza, viewing it as an attempt to force Palestinians into relocating to Sinai, a move Egypt firmly rejects.
