Mary Njoku's response to the likelihood of Mohbad's death being overlooked is, "This is heartbreaking, our system can't be that broken."

Many people have been worried for days that the country's flawed Justice system will prevent the musician from receiving the punishment he merits.

Mary encouraged them by saying that the nation's system isn't actually that flawed and referred to their worries and anxiety as "spittle on the face of Nigeria's justice system."
