Following her win for Leadership at the DVF Awards, the 45-year-old Human Rights Attorney received assistance from her gallant Hollywood actor husband, 62, as they boarded a water taxi in Venice to travel to the airport on Friday.

During the annual Film Festival, which has been impacted by the Writers Guild of America strike, the Hollywood actor, 62, and the Human Rights lawyer, 45, came in Venice.

Amal wore a black summer dress and accessorised with a wicker bag, sunglasses, and shoes to create an effortless image of glamour.

As the group set off to tour the city, George displayed his chivalrous side by helping Amal board a water taxi with the assistance of a friend.

Before the couple was photographed with their arms around each other, George extended a hand to Amal to comfort her and make sure she boarded the plane securely.

In a navy short sleeve shirt, George looked dapper as always and looked to be having a joy as the boat sailed across the lake.

The previous evening, the pair went to the Giorgio Cini Foundation's Sala degli Arazzi for the DVF Awards, where Amal and four other women received the DVF Leadership Award.

The pair added some star power to the 14th annual ceremony, which designer Diane von Furstenberg established to honour remarkable women who are committed to improving the lives of other women.

The DVF explained their selection of Amal for the award.

'Amal Clooney is a world-renowned, award-winning human rights attorney who has spent the last 20 years standing up for victims of injustice,' they declared. The International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and the European Court of Human Rights are just a few of the international tribunals before which she represents her clients.

Amal has defended prominent political detainees and victims of mass crimes, including Yazidi women and children who were sold into slavery by ISIS, civilians in Darfur who were attacked by militias and government forces, and female activists who were detained all over the world.

She has an unrivalled track record of helping journalists who have been wrongfully detained gain their freedom. She is presently working to support the victims of war crimes and other crimes against humanity by serving on the Task Force on Accountability for Crimes Committed in Ukraine.
