Because of the group's capacity to ensure a state free from crime, Brig. Gen. Olu Adewa, Commander of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, has issued a warning to criminal elements to avoid the state as they prepare to launch an aggressive campaign against them.

The corps is prepared to remove criminals from the state using both traditional and modern tactics, according to Adewa, who recently assumed office.

The corps commander gave a speech in Ado Ekiti on Saturday after the personnel of the corps participated in an exercise named "Show of Force" in conjunction with the Nigerian Army and other security organizations across most of the state's 16 local government areas.

The purpose of the drill, according to Adewa, is to let thieves know that things won't be as usual. Therefore, those who have criminal intentions are advised to avoid the state. Under my direction, Amotekun Corps is committed to ensuring prompt answers to crisis calls.

The commander advised the citizens of Ekiti to always supply the corps with accurate information in order to maintain a community free of crime.

He said the company would continue to collaborate with other security firms to safeguard resident lives and property.
