Players of Overwatch 2 will need to fork up $15 to have perpetual access to the PvE story missions in the upcoming sixth season, Invasion.

The $15 price tag is associated with the Invasion Bundle, which will debut simultaneously with the upcoming season of the same name, according to a blog post by Blizzard that was published today. You may also get the Sojourn Legendary Skin and 1,000 Overwatch Coins (normally worth $10) by purchasing the Invasion Bundle.

The Ultimate Invasion package, which costs $40, is the most costly package to appear in results for Overwatch 2: Invasion. You will receive 1,000 more OW Coins, Legendary skins for Cassidy and Kiriko, and the Null Sector Premium Battle Pass with 20 Tier skips if you purchase that deal in addition to the standard Invasion deal.

Fans expressed outrage over being charged for what they considered to be primary content on social media in response to the $15 pricing threshold for the PvE story missions. Whether the story missions will be momentarily free is not explicitly stated by Blizzard.

The PvE Hero Mode was cancelled last month by the development team because it was taking too much time and money away from the core game to create. Director Aaron Keller expressed regret to the Overwatch community at the time for cancelling the mode knowing that players had been looking forward to its debut and promised that moving forward, the game would concentrate on basic story objectives.
