Pan Am-azing
Canada stood tall at the 2023 U20 Pan American Athletics Championships in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, this weekend.
The Canadian crew took home 16 medals (6 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze) at the meet – good for second on the medals table, behind only the United States.
Stepping to the top of the podium were Will Floyd (400 metres), Riley Flemington (1500 metres), Chloe Turner (5000 metres), Jenessa Wolfe (High Jump), Asia Phillips (Triple Jump), and Julia Tunks (Discus).
Taking silver were Christopher Morales Williams (400 metres), Sorcha Shiu (800 metres), Charlotte Sinke (3000 metres), and Tolu Akinduro (Triple Jump).
Your bronze medallists were Divine Aniamaka (Triple Jump), Nate Paris (Decathlon), Emily Martin (200 metres), Kyla Martin (800 metres and 1500 metres), and the 4 x 100 metre relay team of Maria Ulysse, Robyn Larkan, Daniella Oyenuga and Asia Philips.

U18 and U23 Squad Shines in NACAC Championships
Led by a three-medal performances by Robin Lefebvre and double gold medal performances by Chloe Symon and Abby Lewis, Team Canada brought home 26 medals from the 2023 U18 and U23 NACAC Championships.
That medal haul in Costa Rica was good for third place on the table for both gold medals and overall medals, out of a field of 31 countries competing. On top of these exceptional medal-worthy results, Canadian athletes set 10 personal bests and four Championships records and one Canadian record.
