GRANTS

The Hiway Credit Union Foundation, St. Paul, announced 15 Twin Cities nonprofits received Foundations Community Impact Grants for 2023, totaling $53,000 with individual grants ranging from $500 to $5,000. Recipients included Exodus Lending, Junior Achievement North, and Girls Dream Code.

HEALTH CARE

Lifespark, a St. Louis Park-based provider of senior home health services, announced that Monica Engel has joined its board of directors; Engel is senior vice president of Government Markets at insurer Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Eagan.

HONORS

Uponor, a maker of plumbing technology for residential and industrial use, announced it has been awarded the Gold level rating by the global sustainability rating platform EcoVadis, with its total score improved to 70 out of 100, and putting Uponor among the top 6% of the 5,000 companies in the plastic products manufacturing sector evaluated by EcoVadis. Uponor is based in Finland with North American headquarters and manufacturing operations in Apple Valley.
