Dallas Cowboys – NFL Betting Analysis

In the 2022-2023 season, the Cowboys finished with a regular season record of 12-5 and were 2nd in the NFC-East. The season’s end arrived with a Divisional Round loss to the 49ers by a score of 19-12. Within divisional games, the Cowboys went 4-2. At home, they fnished with a record of 8-1, while on the road, they were 5-5.

Last season, Dak Prescott completed 66.2% of his passes for a total of 2860 yards. For the season, he finished 20th among QB’s in passing yards and 8th in touchdowns (23). Prescott’s passer rating for the season was 91.1 (26th). On offense, the Cowboys are coming off a season in which they were 9th in yards per game and averaged 26.8 points per game (4th). In the passing attack, Dallas was 18th in passing attempts and 13th in passing yards. On the ground, the Cowboys averaged 131.7 yards per contest (9th).

When looking at how the Cowboys’ defense performed on 3rd down last season, they were 9th in the NFL with opponents converting 37.7% of their 3rd down attempts. Dallas finished the season 1st in turnovers and allowed an average of 19.7, putting them 6th in the NFL.

Against the spread, the Cowboys put together a record of 11-8 on an average scoring margin of +7.1 points per game. As the favorite, the Cowboys were 8-5 vs. the spread while going 3-3 (ATS) as the underdog. Dallas’ over/under record came in at 9-10.

New York Giants – NFL Betting Analysis

Jones’ passer rating for the season was 92.5 (23rd). The Giants finished last season ranked 18th in yards per game on an average of 21.2 points per game (18th). In the passing game, New York ranked 23rd in passing attempts and 26th in passing yards. Their ground game saw the Giants average 146.3 yards per contest (6th).

Defensively, the Giants finished last season 25th in yards allowed while giving up an average of 22.8 points per game (21st). When looking at how they got after the quarterback, New York was 19th in quarterback hits and 8th in sacks.

New York’s over/under record last season wrapped up at 8-11 with their games averaging 44 points per contest. When looking at how they finished vs. the spread, they were 13-5-1 with an average scoring margin of -1.6 point per game.

Today’s NFL Betting Pick – Cowboys vs. Giants
