Sidhu Moosewala Death Anniversary: It’s been a year since the demise of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and his fans can still feel the void in their hearts. The singer-rapper gained popularity in a short period of time and achieved many milestones in his career. On the day of his death anniversary, Sidhu Moosewala‘s fans have been paying their heartfelt tribute and remembering his legacy.

Even though Sidhu Moosewala started his career in 2017, he rose to fame quickly with his songs entering the international music charts. Take a look at how the Punjabi singer rose to popularity and gained fame in India and globally within a few years.

International Fame From the Start Of His Career:

Sidhu Moosewala gained popularity from the start of his career with the song “G Wagon” released in 2017. He released the song “So High” in the same year and also won the 2017 Best Lyricist award at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards.

Due to the increase in his popularity, he began to perform in India and Canada and released songs “Issa Jatt”, “It’s All About You”, and “Just Listen” in 2018. The singer also entered the Top 40 Uk Asian Charts in 2018 with his song “Tochan”.

He also teamed up with T-Series in 2018 for his debut album ‘PBX 1’ and the album became a huge success as it entered the Canadian Albums Chart and won him the Best Album Award at the 2019 Brit Asia TV Music Awards.

Making His Own Record Label, Collaborations And Rise In Popularity:

In 2019, Moosewala released the song “Legend’ under his own record label and won the Britasia TV Kuflink Best Track of the Year Award. He later released “Chosen”, “Outlaw”, “East Side Flow” and “Mafia Style” in the same year. He also collaborated with Bohemia for the song “Same Beef” and later released two film soundtrack songs: “Dogar” for Teri Meri Jodi” and “Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi”.

His song “47” in collaboration with Mist and Stefflon Don entered the top 20 on UK Singles Chart and the New Zealand Hot 40 singles chart.

Entering Billboard Charts:

In 2020, Moosewala collaborated with Nseeb and Prem Dhillon for the song “Old Skool”. It was followed by “Tibeyan Da Putt”, “Dear Mama”, his second album “Snitches Get Stitches”, “Bambiha Bole”, and “Game”, among others.

All of these songs became chartbusters entering iTunes and Apple Music charts in India. His song “Game” with Shooter Kahlon entered the Canadian Hot 100 by Billboard. In 2021, he performed at the Wireless Festival in London with British rapper Mist, becoming the first Indian singer to perform at this festival. 

The Nagar Panchayat of Jawaharke village in Mansa district organized ‘paath’ in remembrance of Sidhu Moosewala at the same location where he was shot dead. His mother Charan Kaur marked her attendance at the event which was organized by the villagers and a large number of people reached his house to pay tribute. 

A blood donation camp will be held by the Musa village, followed by a candlelight march to be held in Mansa on Sidhu Moose Wala’s first ‘barsi’. The late singer’s father will not be able to participate in the event as he has already gone to the United Kingdom for the work preparations of the singer’s 3D hologram for the world tour.
