Credit cards bridging financial gaps for millions of Aussies

According to research by Finder, 44% of credit card holders in Australia have made unplanned purchases on their cards in the past year, equivalent to 4.6 million Australians. Seven percent have turned to Credit Cards after running out of money before payday, while 21% have faced emergency expenses. Stubborn inflation and aggressive interest rate hikes have left credit cards as many people's only option for survival. Women are four times more likely than men to rely on credit cards when running out of money, and millennials are most likely to use them in emergencies.
