The Mumbai police have discovered over 200 files and documents related to cases being examined by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the possession of individuals arrested for attempted extortion. The arrested individuals had threatened to take ED action against a real estate developer or harm him if he did not pay them Rs 164 crore. The police suspect that these individuals may have extorted more than Rs 100 crore from businessmen and builders using the threat of ED action. The documents also include those related to the Mahadev betting app case.
