China jails feminist labor activist Li Qiaochu for ‘subversion’

Feminist activist Li Qiaochu has been sentenced to three years and eight months in jail by a court in China's Shandong province for "incitement to subvert state power." Li's case has been criticized as "guilt by association" by rights groups, who argue that she is being targeted for expressing views that the Chinese authorities want to suppress. Amnesty International has called for her immediate release.
