Former Prime Minister Hun Sen and the ruling Cambodian People’s Party have filed a defamation lawsuit against the spokesperson of human rights group ADHOC, Soeung Sengkaruna. The lawsuit accuses Sengkaruna of making defamatory comments about the party's legal actions against a leading opposition figure. The party is demanding 2 billion riel (US$500,000) in damages.
