Russian strike in Ukraine kills two French nationals, says Kherson governor

Two French nationals were killed and three other foreigners were wounded in a Russian strike in Beryslav, near Kherson in southern Ukraine. The Kherson governor, Oleksandr Prokudin, confirmed the deaths and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. The Ukrainian national police reported that the two Frenchmen were killed by a drone attack, while four men and a woman were injured. The victims were described as volunteers who had come to the Kherson region. Beryslav has been frequently targeted by Russian drones and artillery, with a previous incident resulting in one death. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not responded to the news.
