An Indian-origin Couple in the UK, Arti Dhir and Kavaljitsinh Raijada, has been convicted of exporting over half a tonne of cocaine to Australia. The couple was identified by the National Crime Agency (NCA) after Australian Border Force intercepted the drugs worth 57 million pounds upon its arrival in Sydney. They were convicted of 12 counts of exportation and 18 counts of money laundering. The drugs had been shipped via a commercial flight from the UK and were hidden in metal toolboxes. The NCA will now begin Proceeds of Crime proceedings to strip the couple of their assets.
