1 in 3 U.S. Asians and Pacific Islanders faced racial abuse this year, says AP-NORC/AAPI Data poll

A recent poll conducted by AAPI Data and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that one in three Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States have experienced racial abuse in the past year. This includes verbal harassment, slurs, physical threats, and cyberbullying. The poll also revealed that 15 percent of respondents believe they have been the victim of a hate crime. Additionally, about half of the respondents believe that racism is a serious problem in the country. The findings highlight the ongoing issue of anti-Asian racism despite efforts to combat it.
