U.S. chipmaker Nvidia has reportedly found a way to sell high-end chips to Chinese companies while still complying with U.S. rules aimed at restricting China's access to technology. Nvidia is set to deliver three new chips to domestic manufacturers in China, which account for 20% to 25% of the company's revenue in its data center business. These chips are based on Nvidia's H100 Chip and come after previous restrictions were imposed on its H100 and A100 chips. The new chips have operating metrics that fall outside of the threshold of U.S. restrictions.
