Painting Stolen in a Heist 30 Years Ago Returned to its Native Scotland

A Painting Stolen from a Scottish castle museum 30 years ago has been returned after it appeared at an auctioneer in Yorkshire. The stolen painting, Children Wading by Robert Gemmell Hutchison, was identified as stolen through the Art Loss Register, a non-profit art database. The painting will be returned to the Glasgow Museums Resource Center and can be viewed online or added to future exhibits. The family that owned the painting bought it in good faith and decided to return it to the museum collection after learning of its theft.
