Myanmar's shadow National Unity Government (NUG) has pledged to hold those responsible for extrajudicial killings accountable. The NUG, made up of leaders from the former civilian government and anti-junta activists, has received 212 complaints related to the killing of alleged junta informants, of which 24 have been resolved. The killings have been carried out by various armed resistance groups, some of which have sworn allegiance to the NUG. The NUG is working to investigate and resolve these incidents, but challenges remain in controlling armed groups and ensuring accountability in post-coup Myanmar.
