Tremors Felt in Delhi-NCR, Other States After 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Nepal

A 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hit Nepal's Birendranagar, causing tremors in Delhi-NCR and neighboring states. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km and was felt in Bihar as well. Earlier this month, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal's Sudurpaschim province, and a 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit Haryana's Faridabad. Delhi-NCR is prone to tremors due to its location on the boundary of two tectonic plates. The region is categorized as Zone IV, which is at high risk, according to the seismic zoning map.
