Wall Street titans help to fuel Ivy League donor revolt

Billionaire Marc Rowan and other Wall Street executives are discussing halting donations to prestigious universities such as Yale and Harvard to protest their responses to the Israel-Hamas war. Rowan participated in a Zoom call with wealthy donors where pausing financial support for the schools was discussed. Rowan and other finance executives critical of the universities have also been in contact through text messages. The efforts to withhold donations are already having an impact, with investor Steve Eisman asking Penn to remove his family's name from a scholarship after hearing Rowan criticize the school. Rowan is frustrated by Penn's response to an antisemitic literature festival and is calling for leadership changes.
