First foreigners leave Gaza through Rafah border crossing into Egypt

The Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt has opened for the first time since the Hamas attacks on Israel, allowing foreign passport holders and the wounded to leave. Hundreds of people, including 81 in ambulances, were expected to cross the border. However, it remains uncertain how many of the estimated 400 American citizens stuck in Gaza will be able to leave. The Rafah crossing has been heavily damaged during Israeli air raids, and the entire Gaza Strip is currently experiencing an internet blackout.
