Jones quits, ending train wreck Wallabies tenure

Eddie Jones has resigned as the coach of the Wallabies less than a month after Australia's disappointing performance in the World Cup. Although the final paperwork is yet to be signed, Jones and Rugby Australia have reached an agreement. Last month, it was revealed that Jones had been secretly interviewed by Japanese rugby officials for the position of head coach. Jones denied the reports but has now decided to step down from his role with the Wallabies. He had a 2-9 record as coach and was contracted until the 2027 World Cup.
