Standard Chartered-owned crypto security firm Zodia Custody is launching its services in Hong Kong, as part of its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. Zodia helps financial institutions securely store their crypto assets and sees Hong Kong as an ideal market with demand driven by institutions. Despite China's anti-crypto stance, Hong Kong has been warming up to crypto assets and recently launched a regulatory regime for digital assets. Zodia is in discussions with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority about becoming regulated in the financial district.
