Korea Investment Partners is the latest Korean VC firm to launch a Southeast Asia fund

Korea Investment Partners Southeast Asia (KIPSEA) has launched a $60 million fund to invest in Southeast Asian startups. The fund will focus on seed to Series B startups, with a particular interest in those planning to expand into South Korea. KIPSEA will provide value-added support to its portfolio companies, including consultancy, follow-up investments, and connections to its wide investment network in Asia. The fund is backed by limited partners from South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore, including Samsung Life Insurance and Korea Development Bank. KIPSEA is a subsidiary of Korea Investment Holdings, which has previously launched a Southeast Asia-focused fund in 2018.
