Trump 2020 lawyer Jenna Ellis pleads guilty in Georgia election case, the latest to flip

Jenna Ellis, a lawyer who worked on Donald Trump's 2020 campaign, has pleaded guilty to a criminal charge in the Georgia election interference case. Ellis is the latest co-defendant of Trump to strike a deal with prosecutors, joining Sidney Powell and two others. The plea deals in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' racketeering case pose a growing threat to Trump, who is facing criminal charges in four separate cases as he prepares to run for president in 2024. Ellis pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting false statements and writings related to false claims of voter fraud in Georgia. She has been sentenced to five years of probation, $5,000 in restitution, 100 hours of community service, and must pen an apology letter to the people of Georgia.
