Migration Puts the Brakes on Venezuela’s Vehicles

The Migration of almost eight million Venezuelans in the last 10 years, along with the general impoverishment of the population, has led to the deterioration of the country's Vehicle fleet. One out of every four vehicles is now out of service due to lack of maintenance, with the rest aging and in need of repairs. The loss of purchasing power has caused owners to delay maintenance and replacement of spare parts. Additionally, the scarcity of gasoline and the country's economic crisis have further contributed to the decline of the vehicle industry in Venezuela.
