According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Indian Airlines will operate 8% more flights this winter compared to the year before. The winter schedule for 2023, effective from October 29 to March 30, will see a total of 23,732 flights, an increase of 3.6% from the summer schedule of this year. IndiGo and Air India will experience the highest growth in the number of flights, with IndiGo set to have 13,119 departures and Air India with 2,367 flights. Additionally, new airports such as Bhatinda, Jaisalmer, and Ludhiana are proposed to be included in the schedule.
