Biden’s $8 billion quest to solve America’s groundwater crisis

The Biden administration is allocating billions of dollars from the infrastructure bill to address Groundwater depletion and water access issues in rural areas across the US West. The funding will be used to build pipelines and treatment facilities to import clean water and address contaminated groundwater. The projects aim to address the consequences of over-pumping and intensive agriculture, as well as the impacts of climate change-induced droughts.
