A Reintroduction Program in the Cairngorms National Park has successfully released 19 captive-bred Scottish Wildcats into their natural habitat. The cats are being tracked via GPS collars, but it is expected that not all of them will survive the winter. However, the breeding and reintroduction program, supported by various conservation groups, has another thirteen kittens growing up in captivity for future releases.
