Missing submarine found 83 years after it was torpedoed in WWII battle

Researchers from Norway's Institute of Marine Research and MAREANO have discovered the wreckage of a British Submarine, the HMS Thistle, which sank during World War II off the coast of Norway. After consulting with naval experts and museums, the researchers determined that it was likely the HMS Thistle. The submarine sank in 1940 after being torpedoed by a German submarine, and all 53 crew members died.
