National Security Adviser Ajit Doval attended the second meeting of the India-Central Asia Secretaries/National Security Advisers of the Security Councils in Kazakhstan. The meeting aimed to discuss regional security issues and strengthen relations between India and Central Asian countries. Doval highlighted the importance of connectivity, cybersecurity, and terrorism as key challenges faced by the region. He proposed initiatives such as utilizing the Chabahar port, providing technology for digital payment systems, and setting up an India-Central Asia Rare Earths Forum. The participants agreed to hold the next meeting in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2024.
