Aine Leslie Davis, a British Muslim convert and former member of the so-called Islamic State (IS) group, has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges. Davis, who was once suspected of being part of the IS death squad known as The Beatles, was deported from Turkey and charged with three offences upon his arrival in the UK. His legal team argued that he could not be tried twice for the same offences, but the claim was rejected by the court. Davis pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and two charges of funding terrorism. Sentencing has been adjourned until November 13.
