French cloud Gaming Firm Shadow has confirmed a data breach in which hackers stole customers' personal information. The breach occurred after a social engineering attack that targeted one of the company's employees. Hackers were able to access the management interface of one of Shadow's software-as-a-service providers and obtain customers' private data, including names, email addresses, dates of birth, billing addresses, and credit card expiry dates. However, passwords and sensitive banking data were not compromised. The stolen database is allegedly being sold by an individual on a hacking forum, who claims to have been ignored by the company. Shadow has reinforced its security protocols and advised customers to be vigilant.
