Over 13,000 flood victims relocated in Myanmar’s Bago region

Flooding in Myanmar has led to the relocation of over 13,000 Flood Victims in the Bago region alone, according to junta authorities. The Bago River overflowed, causing flooding in 12 neighborhoods and seven villages in the region's capital. The river rose three more feet by Monday morning, leaving water over a yard deep in low-lying areas of Bago city. Train lines and transportation to and from the city have been paused until the water recedes, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded. Other regions in Myanmar, including Yangon and Mandalay, have also been affected by flooding.
