Georgia is set to become the first state in the US to allow independent Pharmacies to sell Medical Marijuana products. The Georgia Board of Pharmacy has started accepting applications, with around 120 pharmacies already agreeing to provide medication from licensed production company Botanical Sciences. Medical marijuana will only be available to patients with approval from a physician to treat severe illnesses, and the low THC oil sold in pharmacies can contain no more than 5% THC. The move is expected to make medical cannabis more accessible to patients and destigmatize the medicine.
