Two police officers in LaPorte, Indiana, Ryan Helmecy and Taylor Atkinson, saved the life of a suicidal Woman who was attempting to jump off an overpass. As the woman was making her way down the other side of the Fence, Helmecy sprinted over, mounted the fence, and grabbed her hand. Atkinson arrived seconds later and grabbed her other arm. They held on until a firetruck arrived with a bucket to lower the woman into. The officers were honored by the police department for their heroic actions.
