Simone Biles’ latest historic moment: The Biles II vault

Simone Biles made history at the World Artistic Gymnastic Championships in Belgium by becoming the first woman to land a Yurchenko double pike vault internationally. The vault, now named "Biles II," is considered the most challenging vault in women's gymnastics with a difficulty score of 6.4. Biles previously performed this vault in the U.S. in 2018, but it had only been done by male gymnasts in international competition. Her coach and others have praised her for pushing the boundaries and proving that women can accomplish such difficult moves. Biles now has a total of five skills named after her.
