UN Security Council to Vote on Force to Support Haiti’s Police

The UN Security Council is voting on whether to authorize an international force to support Haiti's police in response to a gang-driven security crisis. Kenya has offered to lead a multinational force of 1,000 police officers, while other countries like the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Antigua and Barbuda have pledged personnel. The United States has promised financial and logistical support.
