‘Surgical Strike’, Race to Airport & Multi-Agency Alerts: How CBI Cracked Manipur Students’ Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two men and two women in connection with the case of two missing Manipur Students. The CBI carried out a "surgical strike" style arrest in collaboration with the Manipur Police and the Indian Army. The suspects were picked up from Henglep and transported to Imphal, with the two minor daughters of one of the suspects accompanying them. The CBI is now facing the challenge of locating the bodies of the missing students and finding their missing belongings. Allegations of rape and torture have been made but are yet to be confirmed.
