Health authorities have issued a warning to parents after a rise in the number of Children suffering scalding burns from instant noodles. The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney has treated about 10 children in the past month for burns from the Popular Snack. The most common injuries were burns to the thighs or genital area caused by spilling the boiling liquid on themselves. Toddlers have also been injured after pulling containers of noodles off kitchen surfaces. Dr Torey Lawrence, Head of the Burns Unit, emphasized the importance of close adult supervision and simple safety measures to prevent such injuries.
