Junta shells school in Myanmar’s Sagaing region, injuring 18 kids

At least 18 children were injured when junta troops fired artillery shells on a village in Myanmar's Sagaing region. The incident is the latest in a string of casualties caused by the junta targeting civilian areas since the military coup in February 2021. The shells were fired by the military's Light Infantry Battalion 102, and one exploded near a village school while classes were in session. The injured children, aged between eight and 12, suffered severe bruising but are reportedly doing fine after receiving medical treatment.
